Job Summary

The Janitorial Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all areas of the facility, ensuring a positive member experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and gym floors.
  • Supply Management: Stock locker rooms with necessary supplies and paper products.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
  • Lost and Found: Follow the Lost and Found Policy and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager immediately.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Custodial Experience: Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are essential for this role.
  • Shift Work: Ability to work third shift is required.
  • Work Ethic and Honesty: Demonstrated honesty and exceptional work ethic are necessary for success in this position.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems independently and effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
  • Education and Age: High School diploma or GED equivalent required, and must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Activity: Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Manual Dexterity: Continual reaching with hands, fingers, and arms during shift.
  • Occasional Physical Demands: Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during shift.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
  • Chemical Exposure: Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.
