Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients in a clinical environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing behavioral health services to adults, adolescents, children, and families throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one direct observation and companionship to assigned patients, maintaining focus and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
- Observe and report potential safety risks in accordance with system policies and procedures.
- Provide psychological support to patients, visitors, and families as needed.
- Engage in independent or supervised therapeutic interactions in the Behavioral Health and Emergency Department setting and other clinical areas as assigned.
- Document patient behaviors in a therapeutic clinical manner, intervening as necessary and relaying information to clinical staff.
- Assist with activities of daily living, behavior management, and collaboration with leadership to determine the need for and proper use of physical restraint and seclusion.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (Required)
- Licensed Social Worker (Default Issuing Body)
- Assessment and Diagnosis, Behavioral Therapy Management, Intake Assessments, Organizing, Patients' Rights, Psychotherapy, Social Work, Working Independently
