Key Responsibilities- Professional Practice and Responsibility
- Practice within the scope of nursing practice standards and codes, promoting health promotion and individualized care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery and documentation.
- Participate in shared decision-making groups and committees to advance evidence-based practice.
- Teamwork and Collaboration
- Coordinate patient care through effective partnerships, recognizing the importance of caring in achieving optimal patient outcomes.
- Practice in a manner that is fiscally responsible and promotes the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Professional Development and Initiative
- Complete ongoing professional competency assessments, mandatory education, and licensure requirements.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other practical nurses and unlicensed staff to ensure a qualified workforce.
- Evidence-Based Practice and Research
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing.
- Participate in data collection and pose relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice.
- Practice Operations
- Provide direct patient care as directed by providers.
- Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum via pre-visit planning processes.
- Patient Liaison and Advocate
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics.
- Partner with patients, significant others, and/or family members to promote a comfortable and safe environment for care delivery.
- Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous healthcare experience, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
