Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of service providers to ensure they meet quality standards, improve performance, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. You will foster strong relationships with customers to drive sales growth and encourage service providers to participate in sales lead initiatives. As a supervisor, you will lead a team within the department and work collaboratively with service providers to maximize day-to-day efficiency and ensure packages are delivered safely, on time, and with a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage administrative tasks, such as performance reviews, accident reports, and service failures, to facilitate the execution of the dispatch plan.
  • Conduct regular audits during on-job supervision rides to ensure adherence to UPS policies and procedures.
  • Utilize technology to identify opportunities for performance improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Communicate with customers to respond to service concerns, build relationships, and determine solutions that meet business goals.
  • Identify business opportunities and forward them to the proper department for follow-up.
  • Encourage service providers to identify and forward volume development opportunities to management.
  • Create a customer-focused work environment to emphasize service and drive business growth.
  • Communicate customers' business needs to employees to provide an understanding of job responsibilities and how actions impact customers.
Requirements:
  • Meet local age and license requirements.
  • Availability to work flexible hours.
  • Assess business needs and use them to define project requirements.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of injury and crash prevention techniques.
  • Recognize and report unsafe working conditions.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of job methods and identify root causes of injuries and auto crashes.
  • Take a leadership position in programs that reduce risk and enhance safety.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of common tools, equipment, and technology used within the operation.
