Position Overview

The Licensed Speech Therapist plays a crucial role in evaluating and supporting individuals with communication challenges. This position involves assessing participants, educating both clients and team members, and ensuring comprehensive documentation and communication with healthcare professionals regarding individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations and assessments of participants, developing tailored treatment plans based on findings.
  • Provide education to clients and team members regarding evaluation results and established treatment strategies.
  • Inform team members about available services and areas related to speech-language therapy.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss all aspects of Individual Program Plans (IPP) and Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Maintain compliance with relevant government regulations and agency standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current New York State license and registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Valid New York State driver's license.
