About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer Assistant to join our team at MacKay & Somps Civil Engineers, Inc. in Pleasanton, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the general direction of senior staff on a wide range of land development and public infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in the design and drafting of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, as well as public infrastructure projects.
  • Supervise junior level staff and coordinate with public agencies and other consultants.
  • Develop and implement grading and earthwork design, hydrology/hydraulics calculations, and other project-related tasks.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in land development and/or public infrastructure design in California.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
  • Competence in Hydrology & Hydraulic modeling is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
