We are seeking an experienced Kdb+/Q developer to join our Equities Data & Analytics Team in New York.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and manipulate large historical data sets
  • Implement reusable Gateway functionality
  • Implement functionality based on defined API
  • Use and implement library-grade software
  • Automating quality checks across transactional, market and reference datasets
  • Ensure clean and efficient coding practices and adherence to industry best practices
  • Collaborate with traders, quants, and other developers to design and implement efficient and robust solutions
  • Writing documentation
Requirements:
  • 5+ years working with large financial data sets, such as market data, order/execution data, and/or positions data
  • 5+ years of Kdb+/Q experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills/ Confident in communicating with stakeholders
  • Ability to learn new technologies and business knowledge
  • Other language experience is a bonus i.e Python, Java, Unix/Linux
  • Experience of agile methodologies will be an advantage
  • Highly Valued
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Capital markets experience, e.g. Derivs, Stocks, index, ETFs trading
  • Proven delivery track record, Cloud experience (e.g. AWS) is preferred
  • Good team player with a strong desire to participate and help others
  • Able to bring critical thinking and new ideas to the team
  • Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
