We are seeking an experienced Kdb+/Q developer to join our Equities Data & Analytics Team in New York.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and manipulate large historical data sets
- Implement reusable Gateway functionality
- Implement functionality based on defined API
- Use and implement library-grade software
- Automating quality checks across transactional, market and reference datasets
- Ensure clean and efficient coding practices and adherence to industry best practices
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and other developers to design and implement efficient and robust solutions
- Writing documentation
- 5+ years working with large financial data sets, such as market data, order/execution data, and/or positions data
- 5+ years of Kdb+/Q experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills/ Confident in communicating with stakeholders
- Ability to learn new technologies and business knowledge
- Other language experience is a bonus i.e Python, Java, Unix/Linux
- Experience of agile methodologies will be an advantage
- Highly Valued
- Capital markets experience, e.g. Derivs, Stocks, index, ETFs trading
- Proven delivery track record, Cloud experience (e.g. AWS) is preferred
- Good team player with a strong desire to participate and help others
- Able to bring critical thinking and new ideas to the team
- Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
- Salary Range of $150,000-200,000
