POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Environmental Services Associate is tasked with ensuring a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel.

This role involves performing various cleaning and maintenance duties to provide a safe and sanitary atmosphere in accordance with the Hospital's Infection Control and Safety Standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect patient rooms, including beds, furnishings, and restrooms.
  • Upon patient discharge, perform terminal cleaning, which includes stripping the room, disposing of linens and waste, and sanitizing all surfaces.
  • Execute cleaning tasks such as mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas according to the cleaning schedule or as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in treatment and examination rooms, including counters and medical equipment.
  • Ensure staff areas, administrative offices, corridors, and utility rooms are kept clean and organized.
  • Empty waste receptacles and restock supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
  • Manage cleaning supplies, keeping the cart stocked and organized, and document daily and weekly cleaning activities.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Must comply with all regulatory requirements and necessary certifications, including adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as standards set by accrediting organizations.

Commitment to following the facility's Infection Control protocols and OSHA safety regulations is essential.
