This role is for a full-time Facility Operator at our facility. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and housekeeping abilities. We seek individuals who are proactive in learning new skills and enhancing our workplace.

Our facility operators are responsible for producing neat and polymer-modified asphalt oil for our paving and repair clientele. The position involves working in the tank farm alongside other operators to produce, process, ensure quality, and load/unload materials for our customers. Please note that this role is not office-based; we require individuals who enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions to better serve our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in product testing within the laboratory
  • Input quality specifications and batch data into reports
  • Sample product quality
  • Load and unload customer vehicles
  • Perform minor maintenance on plant equipment (pumps, valves, mixers)
  • Participate in daily production, quality, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) meetings
  • Utilize proactive tools (safety checklist, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility
  • Stay updated on required training
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (hard hat, face shield, long-sleeve shirt, H2S monitor, steel-toe boots, safety glasses)
  • Communicate effectively with fellow operators, management, and customers to meet various needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Excel (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Capability to read and follow written instructions
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Willingness to learn computer skills
  • Able to lift 50 pounds with assistance and perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and climbing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Availability to work day and night shifts as scheduled
  • Comfortable with outdoor work in all seasons
