Job Overview

Skillfully leverage your expertise in industrial automation to deliver exceptional results for Direct Companies. As an Industrial Automation Engineer II, you will be responsible for supporting customers and project teams in Process Automation while demonstrating the core competencies that define our company.

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of process controls, including the ability to identify key parameters and measurable outcomes of hazards.
  • Exhibit solid knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation/control equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of control methods, analog and discrete, as well as critical components for developing sustainable control algorithms.
  • Showcase capability to implement control methodology in DCS, PLC, or HMI platforms with a strong grasp of various programming languages.
  • Ability to independently design and implement control system architecture, encompassing hardware, software, instrumentation, and networking equipment.
  • Display a solid understanding of advanced control and batch control, with the ability to independently implement.
  • Demonstrate experience leading loop checking startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning support in an industrial setting.
  • Exhibit the ability to understand control philosophy and write functional requirements based on expected functionality, including descriptions of control loops, interlocks, and alarms.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree, or Associates Degree in a related field.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Three to six years of experience in an Industrial Controls Engineering environment.

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per year
