Senior RF Engineer

System One is seeking an experienced RF engineering professional for an opportunity in Chelmsford, MA with a large Aerospace and Defense Company.

This exciting role offers the RF pro an opportunity to be a key contributor on our team of industry-leading RF design experts.


Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and production of complex multi-function modules used in challenging high-reliability applications in all phases of the product life cycle.
  • Design and develop circuits, modules, and sub-systems from initial concept through prototyping and full-rate production.
  • Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative and ingenious solutions.
  • Act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational products.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers on our team.
  • Contribute to or author proposals and may participate on business capture efforts.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to include hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technicians and manufacturing support personnel.

Requirements:
  • BS degree in electrical engineering or closely related technical field and 5 years of relevant professional engineering experience.
  • Experience with troubleshooting RF products and resolving integration issues is required.
  • Experience with the use of microwave test equipment is required.
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • MS in electrical engineering or closely related technical field is desired.
  • Relevant experience in the defense electronics industry is desired.
  • Experience with RF design is desired.
  • Knowledge of RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low-noise amplifiers, high-power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits is desired.
  • Experience with microwave simulation tools is desired.
  • Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques is desired.
  • Knowledge of technical documentation such as specifications, schematic diagrams, and test data is desired.
