About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care: You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the operating room, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality, safe, and compassionate care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team: You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Maintain a safe OR environment: You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to all patient care safety requirements and ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives: You will contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our surgical services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in Texas: You must be a registered nurse with current licensure in the state of Texas.
- Experience in the OR: You must have a minimum of two years of experience in the operating room or other critical care environment.
- Knowledge of OR procedures: You must have a strong understanding of operating room procedures, including patient assessment, surgical site preparation, and post-operative care.
- Excellent communication skills: You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
