Role Summary
The Internal Medicine Physician plays a vital role within our clinical practice team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care in alignment with the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. This physician will manage a diverse patient panel, addressing both chronic conditions and acute health issues across the adult population. Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration are abundant, including partnerships with mental health, pharmacy, reproductive health, dental, and optometry services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients experiencing acute health issues, chronic diseases, or seeking preventive services.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, develop diagnostic strategies, and order necessary tests. Analyze findings and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide reproductive health services, including IUD and Nexplanon procedures, cervical exams, and prenatal care when indicated.
- Assess the need for specialist consultations and facilitate coordinated care with other healthcare providers.
- Prescribe medications and evaluate their effectiveness based on individual patient needs.
- Achieve the Health Center's annual productivity targets.
- Maintain accurate and timely Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call duties as scheduled.
- Graduation from an accredited medical institution (M.D. or D.O.).
- Current Massachusetts medical license.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine (ABMS) within one year post-residency.
- Compliance with the Health Center's vaccination requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range of $200,000-$220,000.
- Comprehensive time-off package including 4 weeks of paid vacation, 11 holidays, 3 personal days, and 5 sick days.
- Structured work schedule with 32 hours of clinical duties and 8 hours of administrative responsibilities, with remote work options.
