Job Title: Senior Modeling Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Modeling Engineer to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving modeling simulation and data management software applications to support new product and technology development projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex models of HVAC systems, including refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and other sub-systems.
  • Improve and standardize existing in-house steady state component and system models for multiple HVAC systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide updates, and training to refrigeration engineers.
  • Prepare complete schedules and reports for assigned projects, including presentations to stakeholders.
  • Provide engineering support to the Product Planning and Technical Support Team.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in air-conditioning/HVAC system product design and modeling.
  • Familiarity with popular industrial-level modeling and simulation tools and platforms.
  • Expertise in thermal sciences, including thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
  • Programming capability in languages such as Fortran, Visual Basic, C++, C#, and Python.
