Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological evaluations and functional assessments to identify individuals' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to applicable policies and regulations, including those related to behavioral interventions and safety protocols.
  • Prepare data analysis and reports to inform program development and improve outcomes.
  • Engage in direct client contacts and therapy sessions to provide individualized support and guidance.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to other psychology paraprofessional staff to ensure high-quality care and services.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270).
  • Master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, preferably in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
