The Providence Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Extended Hours Per Diem to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our consumers.
Job Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric nursing services in accordance with established medical protocols.
- Assess and address the unique needs of individuals with co-occurring disorders, including substance abuse, developmental and/or physical disabilities, personality disorders, trauma, and brain injury.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating consumer choice and preferences.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Provide education and support to consumers on mental illness, medication, coping skills, and community resources.
- Utilize crisis prevention and intervention strategies to ensure consumer safety and well-being.
- Coordinate activities related to consumer hospitalization, serving as a liaison with the hospital regarding admission, case review, and discharge.
- Comply with written clinical procedures and professional standards.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Rhode Island Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact License.
- Relevant experience with substance abuse and serious mental illness.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver's license and insured auto.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
