Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Plant Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and monitoring our central plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on central plant equipment, including HVAC systems, energy management systems, and water treatment systems.
- Monitor and operate power plant equipment to achieve maximum efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular building rounds and equipment inspections to identify potential issues and report them to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as required to support the smooth operation of our facilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Operating Engineering preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in plant operations, maintenance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management systems, and water treatment systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Current 2nd Class Engineers Certificate for Air Condition/Refrigeration.
- Current 2nd Class Engineers Certificate for Boilers & Air Condition.
