Nurse Practitioner

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Step Down ICU department. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients requiring complex assessments and interventions.
Responsibilities- Obtain comprehensive data from patients, families, and other healthcare providers to develop a holistic picture of patient needs or conditions.
- Analyze and synthesize data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
- Identify optimal outcomes for patients in collaboration with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Develop plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain outcomes, using clinical judgment in collaboration with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Implement plans, employing strategies to promote and maintain a safe environment, and coordinate implementation with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Evaluate processes and progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Contribute to the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, evaluate own practice, and maintain current knowledge and competence.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice, collaborate with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Use clinical inquiry and integrate best evidence into practice.
- Apply existing evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to critical care nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specific needs and clinical needs.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- No experience required.
