We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform Compensation and Pension Exams for our military Veterans at various sites through the USA.
Job SummaryThis is a contract opportunity to support the Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations program. As a practitioner, you will conduct exams to help the VA answer questions about Veterans' current health.
Responsibilities- Review Veteran's medical or mental health history using electronic bookmarks
- Conduct exams using a web-based examination form in Client's Provider Portal
- Complete electronic exam documentation, known as a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ), within 48 hours of each appointment
- Submit DBQs to the VA for final determination on all disability claims
Qualified candidates must have a master's degree in Nursing (NP) or successfully completed an approved Physician Assistant (PA) program. Primary care experience is required. Candidates must be actively licensed and able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills, and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
