Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Critical Care Unit team at UnityPoint Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses with patient care, including vital sign monitoring, hygiene, and mobility support.
  • Conduct daily patient assessments and document findings in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Participate in unit operations, including performance improvement activities and educational programs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
  • Perform clerical duties, maintain supply storage, and assist with environmental tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Certificate from an approved Nursing Assistant Course or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) completion required.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, maintain effective interpersonal relationships, and adapt to change.
  • Knowledge and skills required for specialized area of assignment.
