As a leading provider of sensor systems, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Production Technician 2 to join our team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret diagrams and technical drawings to create initial layouts and utilize hand tools effectively.
- Perform continuity checks on work in progress and completed tasks.
- Conduct quality inspections on the production line in accordance with established quality standards.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies as per specifications.
- Communicate any production delays or quality issues to the team leader or supervisor promptly.
- Handle adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other common chemicals used in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of additional education and/or relevant experience.
- Intermediate computer skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with electronics.
- Current Solder J-STD or IPC solder certification.
