Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Visual Communications courses with a focus on 3D Animation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual communication and animation, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills.

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including 3D Animation, Visual Communications, and related topics. The successful candidate will be able to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.

The Adjunct Faculty member will also be responsible for submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner, utilizing a course syllabus for each course, and meeting with students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Visual Communications courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
  • Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in visual communication related field with minimum of 3 years nonteaching work experience in the field with demonstrated evidence of proficiency

Salary: $53.82 per contact hour
