- Meat Production: Maintain the quality and freshness of meat products, adhering to company policies and regulations.
- Department Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the meat department, including the cooler and freezer.
- Inventory Management: Accurately complete and monitor daily log sheets and other required paperwork.
- Merchandising: Ensure proper merchandising of products, understanding and implementing schematics, and monitoring product flow.
- Quality Control: Ensure that product quality, trimming, grinding, packaging, labeling, rotation, and wrapping standards are met.
- Physical Demands: Frequently reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 80 lbs.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate orally and read and follow written work assignments.
- Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of all job duties within the Meat Department, including cutting, wrapping, steaming, grinding, cubing, tenderizing, and customer service.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Temperature Control: Ability to work in a temperature-controlled store environment, with frequent exposure to cold temperatures.
- Physical Environment: Frequent exposure to 30 Fahrenheit while handling product in the display cases, 28 Fahrenheit in the cooler, and -20 Fahrenheit in the freezer.
