We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our medical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
- Assist in carrying out a therapeutic regimen for each patient and direct non-licensed nursing teammates in providing nursing care.
- Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with providers, interdisciplinary teammates, patients, and their families.
- Assist and advise teammates when needed.
- Monitor the activities of non-licensed teammates and delegate appropriately.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, departmental committees, and other operational projects as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse program.
- Current LPN licensure in North Carolina required.
- Competent in BLS and/or other specialized life support certifications as required by department.
- At least one year of experience preferred.
