Job Summary

At Specialty Surgical Center Of Thousand Oaks, LP, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scrub Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, the Scrub Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures, and assist in setting up the sterile field to include surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
  • Equipment Management: Assemble and check both sterile and non-sterile equipment to ensure it is working properly, and assist with the maintenance of physician preference cards and inventory management.
  • Patient Care: Assist with pre-procedure preparations to the patient's skin and body, and participate in the count of sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments based on the type of procedure performed.
  • Post-Procedure: Assist with patient transfer from the procedure bed to the stretcher, clean and restock the procedure room, and pull supplies and instruments for upcoming procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
