CNC Machining Specialist

We are currently in search of a skilled, on-site CNC Machining Specialist to become a vital part of our expanding team. D. Reis Furniture Manufacturing Corporation is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace.
Key Qualifications:
- At least five years of experience in high-end residential millwork is essential.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with a minimum of five years of experience.
- Experience with Cabinet Vision and Alphacam is necessary.
- Exceptional conceptual, managerial, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- A positive and professional demeanor is essential.
- A commitment to personal growth and development in the field is highly valued.
- A comprehensive understanding of wood products and hardware is required.
- Ability to perform material take-offs accurately.
- Strong mathematical skills are necessary.
- Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed based on workload demands.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, present, and review precise shop drawings and specifications derived from architectural plans.
- Quickly identify discrepancies in plans and effectively collaborate with architects to devise solutions.
- Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure products align with design specifications.
- Engage in CNC programming tasks.
- Perform material take-offs for shop and CNC coordination.
- Review and enhance processes for drafting and CNC coordination.
- Demonstrate the ability to program both simple and complex parts in Cabinet Vision/Alphacam from 2D CAD files.
- Effectively create, write, and maintain CNC programs in our library database according to company protocols.
- Update CNC programs as necessary.
- Collaborate successfully with a network of support, including manufacturing and design teams, to ensure the completion of assignments.
- Initiate and carry out technical activities related to assignments that lead to improvements in existing processes or technologies, significantly impacting manufacturing outcomes.
- Work independently or with supervision as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete tasks and assignments within designated timeframes.
- Translate all drawing requirements accurately for the development of CNC programs.
- Work closely with project management and shop teams to ensure smooth job execution.
