Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Camp Supervisor to join our team at Louisiana State University. As a Camp Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all campers, modeling appropriate behavior, and enforcing rules and expectations consistently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Camper Supervision (60%): Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers, model appropriate behavior, and enforce rules and expectations consistently.
  • Team Communication (20%): Interact with other staff in an appropriate manner, work cooperatively with camp staff, and regularly communicate camper issues with lead counselors.
  • Counselor Mindset (20%): Provide a nurturing environment for all campers, follow UREC guidelines on camper confidentiality, and comply with Louisiana Mandated Reporter laws and regulations.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or day care setting, preferably with children age 6-12.
  • Previous extra-curricular involvement with youth programs.

Additional Information:
This position requires a pre-employment physical examination and a background check. The selected candidate will be employed through Louisiana State University's partner, nextSource Workforce Solutions, for Employer of Record Services.
