We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit at Saint Michael's Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our team's commitment to quality, compassion, and community.

About Our Medical Surgical Unit

Our Medical Surgical Unit is a 358-bed regional tertiary-care, teaching, and research center in the heart of Newark's business and educational district. We offer a comprehensive array of innovative treatments and procedures, including cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery. Our team of highly qualified physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals is dedicated to delivering top-quality health care services with compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care services, including technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice.
  • Meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Perform under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • IV certification upon hire.
