Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our healthcare team. This role encompasses a combination of inpatient surgical duties and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures for both cardiac and thoracic cases.
- Conduct daily patient rounds in the ICU.
- Participate in emergency surgeries on a call schedule of 1:3.
- Document patient progress, assist in surgical operations, prescribe medications, and prepare discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an AMA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in assisting with cardiothoracic surgeries.
- Completion of over 100 endoscopic vein harvests.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary with additional compensation for on-call duties.
