About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, low-dose diagnostic procedures to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform total-body diagnostic computerized scanning as indicated by admitting diagnosis, under general supervision and in accordance with specified protocols.
  • Assist physicians in a variety of interventional procedures and provide computer guidance for precise biopsy needle placement.
  • Prepare and intravenously administer contrast agents as directed by established protocols, monitoring patients throughout the injection and following procedure for extravasation and/or adverse reactions.
  • Practice sterile techniques and prevent cross contamination, maintaining orderliness and cleanliness in the C.T. suite.
  • Responsible for necessary equipment maintenance recommendations, and "trouble shooting" when indicated, keeping all necessary equipment maintenance logs.
  • Cooperate with all department personnel in a positive and professional manner, performing a variety of related clerical tasks as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced CT certification within hire/transfer date required.
  • High school graduate required.
  • Ability to maintain a polite, professional demeanor in potentially stressful situations.
