Position Summary:
Your background as a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician positions you as an ideal candidate for our facility in Granite City. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining the operational integrity of plant machinery and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance for uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute maintenance activities on all production and facility machinery, focusing on minimizing downtime and addressing quality and production challenges through continuous improvement practices.
- Interpret and analyze electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Troubleshoot issues related to programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Utilize electrical testing instruments as necessary for repairs and diagnostics.
- Repair and refurbish electrical and mechanical components.
- Implement modifications and fabricate equipment and systems to align with production requirements.
- Effectively communicate maintenance updates across shifts, including to the Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Manager.
- Oversee operational aspects across the plant, contributing to the achievement of quality and production objectives.
- Engage in ongoing improvements in safety, quality, and workplace organization.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of a high school diploma along with at least 2 years of experience in repairing and troubleshooting electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, 3-phase motors, variable speed drives, and heavy industrial wiring. Additional qualifications include:
- Extensive industrial electrical expertise is essential.
- Ability to assimilate process knowledge, equipment specifications, and company protocols through active engagement with resources, colleagues, manuals, and training materials.
- Practical aptitude for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, with the ability to operate independently within a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in computer use, particularly within the Windows Operating System.
