Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Houseperson to join our team at New Castle Hotels. As a Banquet Houseperson, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining banquet meeting rooms according to sales contracts and hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a BEO Expert - thoroughly understand the Banquet Event Order (BEO) to set up and break down each event safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the banquet space is immaculate, including floors, walls, windows, mirrors, and other areas, and report any defects to maintenance for repair.
  • Verify that all necessary supplies are readily available and that equipment is set up and functioning properly.
  • Be a Friendly Face - arrive on time to set up the banquet and assist the service staff and guests as needed throughout the event.
  • Be the Flipper - efficiently undertake post-function cleaning duties, including floors, tables, buffet stations, and other areas.
  • Be a Safety & Security Agent - follow hotel safety and security policies and procedures, and anticipate potential problems, seeking management assistance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.
