**Job Description**

Water Systems Analyst Position in NYC

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Water Systems Analyst to join the Bureau of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (ESE). This exciting role will involve conducting scientific research, inspecting engineered systems, and analyzing data to identify health hazards and enhance safety.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting scientific research and investigations on Legionella-related initiatives
  • Inspecting premise plumbing systems, cooling towers, and other water reuse systems to address health hazards
  • Independently researching best industry practices to enhance technical expertise

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic or professional background in mechanical engineering, plumbing systems, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or environmental science. Experience in regulatory enforcement, environmental investigation, and project management is also desirable.
