Job Description

As an Activities Coordinator, you will work closely with our Director of Therapeutic Recreation and/or Memory Care Program Coordinator to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Therapeutic Recreation Department.

This role involves assessing resident needs, documenting and reporting unusual findings, and encouraging participation in daily living activities. You will also work with the therapeutic team to establish resident care goals and provide feedback to improve the quality of care.

Estimated Salary: $36,000/year

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in planning and provision of patient care by visiting residents regularly to evaluate needs
  2. Document and report unusual or significant findings to the nursing department
  3. Report all reportable events immediately according to company policy
  4. Encourage residents to participate in activities that stimulate physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being
  5. Work with the therapeutic team to establish resident care goals and provide feedback to improve the quality of care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience in an activities department
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to make independent decisions and relate information about resident conditions
