Job Summary

Lamons is seeking a highly skilled Operations Director to lead our branch operations sector towards high performance in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote processes and procedures that will assist in improving customer on-time delivery.
  • Monitor ongoing performance against annual objectives, communicate substandard circumstances, and execute improvement plans.
  • Counsel, coach, and develop staff to achieve department-set goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments and branches on projects, kaizens, and continuous improvement activities.
Accountabilities
  • Deliver goals on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and Compliance KPIs for the operations department.
  • Contribute to supporting all necessary functions to Operations, including purchasing, supply chain management, quality, etc., offering feedback on improvements.
  • Process orders and material transfers, and contribute to the Global Continuous Improvement initiative.
Reporting and Communication
  • Communicate and deliver all required reports, metrics/data, and updates to branch manager and senior management in a timely, concise, and professional manner.
  • Handle all disciplinary and accountability issues based on policy and the collective bargaining agreement.
Requirements
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
  • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred.
  • 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Plant/Operations Manager.
