Job Summary

Abercrombie & Kent is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our technology department, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and troubleshooting programs and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality systems that integrate with our existing software, participate in application design discussions, and create technical design documentation that meets our standards.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain Web-based.NET Core applications using Visual Studio.
  • Create, design, and maintain data warehouse objects in SQL Server for use with applications and reports, while adhering to standards and policies established by the DBA and Development Manager.
  • Support end users and assist in the installation, design, development, testing, and maintenance of Travel Studio and the integrated application software systems that support it and depend on it.
  • Report design, development, implementation, and subscription setup utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Assist with other special projects or related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to program Web applications using Visual Studio 2019 or higher –.NET Core, Razor, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or higher including writing and optimizing T-SQL, stored procedures, parameters, functions, and SSIS.
  • Experience creating/publishing reports and scheduling subscriptions using SQL Server Reporting Services 2016, Visual Studio 2019 or higher, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with IIS,.NET framework, Web services.
  • Ability to perform calmly under pressure while being adaptive and flexible.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must read/write/speak English.
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent years of experience.
  • Windows Server 2016 and higher.
  • Internet technology - HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.
  • Knowledge/experience with Power BI a plus.
