Job Overview

As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, the Banquet Bartender plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to all operational protocols established by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Ensure the highest standards of food and beverage safety and quality in accordance with hotel and brand specifications.
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by following established procedures and guidelines.
• Address and resolve guest inquiries and concerns related to beverage service.
• Facilitate effective communication with the General Manager, fellow managers, supervisors, and team members.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support the department.

Essential Duties

Efficiently take beverage orders, prepare, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as light snacks, ensuring compliance with hotel standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and equipment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
• Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) is advantageous.
• Completion of alcohol awareness training (e.g., TIPS) is preferred.
• Understanding of food and beverage cost management is beneficial.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are a plus.
• Familiarity with local attractions and activities suitable for guests.
