Kindred Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the recovery process for critically ill and medically complex patients.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by contributing to the nursing care plan from admission to discharge.
- Prepare and present assessment of patient's progress to the healthcare team and keep family members informed.
- Monitor and manage pain management procedures to ensure patient comfort.
- Participate in the discharge planning process to ensure a smooth transition for patients.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
- Supervise and mentor ancillary staff members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols.
- At least six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute-care setting, with Critical Care experience preferred.
- BCLS certification is required, with ACLS certification preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse/RN.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, an Associate's degree, or a Nursing diploma from an accredited Institution as a Registered Nurse/RN.
