KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Prepare housekeeping carts with necessary cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
  • Thoroughly clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and managing linens and waste.
  • Replace and restock bed linens, towels, and other guest necessities as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness in other designated areas such as restrooms, lobbies, offices, and meeting spaces.
  • Report any maintenance issues or missing items to management promptly.
  • Address guest requests and concerns in a courteous manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Document and return any lost items found in guest rooms or public areas.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to understand daily tasks and assignments.
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks as necessary, including flipping mattresses and moving furniture.
  • Perform evening turn-down service when required.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all assigned tasks within the designated time frames.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Understanding of housekeeping and laundry procedures.
  • Knowledge of safe handling and storage of cleaning agents.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums and commercial laundry machines.
  • Basic communication skills in English.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A genuine commitment to customer service.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous experience in hospitality housekeeping is advantageous.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires physical stamina, as most tasks will be performed indoors under controlled conditions. The role involves standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Housekeepers must be prepared to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Consistent attendance is crucial for success in this role.
