Asphalt Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Dispatcher to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of construction materials, ensuring timely delivery to our customers, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Coordinate the loading and delivery of construction materials, including asphalt and ready-mixed concrete.
• Direct plant operators, loader operators, drivers, and batch plant operators to ensure efficient material loading and delivery.
• Monitor and report any delivery problems to service or sales representatives for quick resolution or mitigation.
• Receive customer orders, record customer information, and advise customers on company order confirmation and delivery policies.
• Determine schedules to balance cost-effective delivery times and rates for the company with customer demands.
• Complete daily reports on product sales, product allowances, and adjustments, as well as delivery problems and other matters.

• Interpersonal skills to maintain satisfactory customer relations and communicate effectively with customers and truckers.
• Time management skills to plan ahead, work at a fast pace, and prioritize work.
• Product knowledge of paving, concrete, and construction materials, as well as transportation requirements and regulations.
• Technology skills to use computers to record information and create reports.
• Valid driver's license is required.
