Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech therapy services to patients, including evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' swallowing, speech, and language function and develop comprehensive care plans to restore function and enhance quality of life.
  • Perform evaluations and assessments within 48 hours of receiving MD orders and provide written or electronic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individual therapy interventions to improve cognition, swallowing function, and communication skills.
  • Establish suitable and achievable treatment goals and provide individual therapy for patients as needed or prescribed in the care plan.
  • Document all clinical services rendered to patients and maintain statistical records as required.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (Pennsylvania) - State of Pennsylvania.
