We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and scaling of our Real-Time Hardware In the Loop (HIL) simulator. This simulator is a critical component of our autonomous vehicle software, enabling us to accelerate our progress towards safer, cheaper, and more efficient transportation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ software development, experience with complex systems and codebases, and excellent debugging skills. They will also have a passion for solving challenging problems and improving the interfaces between complex systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Real-Time Simulator, ensuring its accuracy and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the simulator's functionality and scalability
- Design and implement software solutions to optimize the simulator's performance and reduce latency
- Work closely with the Sensing, Perception, Planning, Compute, and Systems Engineering teams to improve the simulator's capabilities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of C++ software development experience
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with complex systems and codebases
- Excellent debugging skills
