Position Summary:

The Long Term Care Account Specialist is accountable for managing a designated geographic area and driving the promotion and expansion of Neurocrine products within the Long Term Care (LTC) sector. This role involves cultivating and sustaining long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders within targeted accounts, effectively representing Neurocrine’s brand and its approved indications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and execute strategic sales initiatives and marketing plans to achieve or surpass sales targets through direct engagement with clients, including in-office visits and educational presentations.
  • Develop and apply effective strategies to enhance market penetration and segmentation within the psychiatric and movement disorder sectors in Long-Term Care.
  • Utilize promotional resources and budget efficiently to maximize impact.
  • Foster excellent communication and collaborative relationships with colleagues and cross-functional teams, including managed care and medical affairs.
  • Uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity, aligning with corporate values and compliance policies.
  • Identify and analyze territory-specific opportunities and challenges to drive product and organizational success.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local Opinion Leaders to align on objectives.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, including FDA guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Employ account-based selling strategies to fulfill the needs of the entire patient care team.
  • Manage relationships with critical stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, long-term care facilities, and pharmacies.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial pharma/biotech, including at least 3 years in specialty pharmaceutical sales, ideally with 2 years in Long Term Care.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
