Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough final inspections on all production batches to verify compliance with specifications outlined in the control plan.
  2. Perform audits on finished products post-sorting and packing to ensure label accuracy and product integrity within cartons.
  3. Execute drive testing as stipulated in the control plan to validate product performance.
  4. Investigate quality issues, document Non-Conformance Material (NCM) reports as necessary, and propose potential corrective measures.
  5. Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of precision measuring instruments.
  6. Provide training and support to both existing and new personnel on inspection techniques, procedures, and measurement tools.
  7. Keep comprehensive records and files for various departmental activities.
  8. Communicate quality concerns promptly to the Quality Management team.
  9. Review sorting discrepancies to identify areas for improvement.
  10. Conduct in-process product audits within manufacturing settings.

Physical Demands:

The role may require lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily conducted in a standard laboratory environment, with approximately 75% of the time spent in a shop setting that may include exposure to dirt, grease, oil, and smog. This is a full-time position that may involve weekend and evening shifts.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in shop mathematics, blueprint interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) requirements, adherence to inspection protocols, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
