Our unit is an 8-bed ENT/Plastics specialty stepdown unit and a 24-bed internal medicine unit, caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, including head and neck cancer, surgical flaps and grafts, renal failure, diabetes, hypertension, pneumonia, sepsis, and complex multi-system failure.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, and educate patients and their families on post-discharge care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, or military RN experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
