Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Exercise Physiology Lab Assistant to join our team at the University of New Mexico. As a key member of our Exercise Science Laboratory, you will assist our lab director and faculty with various administrative responsibilities, including laboratory maintenance, equipment inventory, and social media management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with laboratory and equipment maintenance, including inventory and ordering of supplies
  • Manage social media accounts and create engaging content to promote our lab and research
  • Support recruitment events and assist with community and internal client testing scheduling and operationalization
  • Provide front desk support, including phone and email responses, and assist with testing of UNM staff, faculty, and students
  • Perform various testing procedures, including maximal oxygen consumption tests, resting metabolic rate assessments, and body composition analyses
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in the Exercise Science undergraduate or graduate program at UNM
  • Previous experience working or assisting in the Exercise Science Laboratory
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
