The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in the healthcare team by providing high-quality patient care. As a member of our team, you will work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards of care.
- Assist RNs in collecting patient health care data, completing focused assessments, and implementing individualized plans of care.
- Work collaboratively with RNs to evaluate patient progress, reassess patient conditions, and take appropriate action as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and customer service.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
- Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 clearances.
- Current NIH Stroke Scale or completion within six (6) months of hire/transfer into department.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, rotating shifts, and standing for long periods. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position also requires the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
