AV Rack Build Technician

Join Vaco's team as an AV Rack Build Technician and take on a challenging role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring AV racks based on design specifications and wiring diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and wire AV racks according to design specifications and wiring diagrams
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in AV rack building for commercial installations
  • Strong understanding of audiovisual systems and components
  • Familiarity with dressing Cat5/Cat6 cable and performing RJ-45 terminations
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain positive interactions
  • Attention to detail and mechanical/technical proficiency with hand and power tools
  • AV industry certifications (preferred)
Work Environment:

The AV Rack Build Technician role is based in an office/warehouse work environment, requiring the ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
