Job Overview

Position Summary

The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing all incoming reservation inquiries through calls and emails with a high level of professionalism and efficiency. This role involves creating, modifying, and canceling reservations while providing detailed information about the hotel’s rates, amenities, room types, services, and special offers. The ideal candidate will maintain consistent communication with clients via phone and email, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and effective time management to achieve complete guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay updated on all departmental communications and events to provide friendly and professional service to both guests and team members.
  • Handle all guest interactions promptly and professionally, anticipating needs to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the Reservations Department and utilize all systems accurately to deliver exceptional service.
  • Understand room rates and market codes, demonstrating the ability to apply appropriate discount rates.
  • Maximize hotel revenue by demonstrating proficiency in the Central Reservations System and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with Front Office and Sales Departments to gather necessary group information and communicate effectively.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding cash handling and billing, ensuring timely responses to the Accounting Department's requirements.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Skills Required: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and email communication. Ability to manage multiple email accounts and incoming calls efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Experience: Previous experience in hospitality is preferred; sales experience is a plus.
