Truck Driver

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of over 3 tons to transport aggregates to and from designated locations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
- Drive in traffic and maneuver the truck to load and unload aggregates, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Follow written and oral instructions, including city street maps and complete necessary paperwork.
- Inspect the truck daily, completing a Driver Check-off Sheet to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
- Understand the importance of attendance and punctuality in this role.
To be successful in this position, you must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. You must also meet all eligibility requirements for driving a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Physical DemandsThis role requires regular sitting and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. You will also frequently reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Occasionally, you may need to stand and walk. You must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Work EnvironmentYou will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. You will also frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat. Occasionally, you may be exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
